Hello Ian/High Terrain
Just wanted to say thank you for a brilliant event on Sunday in Kielder (race number #236).
I'd like to particulary thank the first-aider (Audra) who attended me after the event SHE DID A GREAT JOB - managed to get myself back to the RVI in Newcastle no bother, RVI were also brilliant had me in and out in under an hour !
So big thanks again to all concerned and no doubt I'll see you another time...might have to start trail running at this rate ...unless you want to put more duathlons on ?
By the way the RVI gave me 7 stitches in my knee ...by my reckoning thats about £5 a stitch !!
Hi, Ian, Emily, Audra and Outdoor Angels
Just emailing to say thank you for this great event. The arrival of Storm Brian certainly added another element to the day, which was somewhat challenging on only my second ultra... But really big thanks to you all, organisers, marshals, first aid team and behind the scenes team etc. for everything. The food tent was just brilliant, with amazing homemade flapjack. Hot coffee and encouraging banter. Big thanks also to the poor first aid marshal sat at Anglers rock in the miserable conditions. Also big thanks to the first aid marshal at the Black Sail hut who made sure I was ok when I grabbed 5 mins out the rain to get my trousers, hat and gloves on, because I was getting real cold.
Ennerdale is a beautiful setting; I think I will be back sometime to have a nice walk around it, on a beautiful sunny day...
